R.L.N. Barber
Robin Barber, author of The Cyclades in the Bronze Age, is a graduate of the Universities of St Andrews and Oxford, and holds an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Athens. He was Assistant Director of the British School at Athens (1972–76) and later Head of the Department of Classical Archaeology at Edinburgh University. His main field of research has been the prehistory of the Cyclades, with a particular interest in the finds from Phylakopi on which he has worked for over 50 years.
